Hurvin Anderson was back at Durham Press earlier this year to sign his first print – Barbershop – and to continue to work on prints he started last summer. The thought was to possibly make mono-prints from the many proofs we had that were beautiful, but unfinished, so Anderson began hand painting and re-coloring the proofs. The results were fantastic and soon we had walls of wonderful new works. We decided after much discussion, to make small editions of eight of them, so they can be hung as a group or purchased individually. They will launch at this year’s print fair in New York. They are currently in production. Here are some of shots from the studio.
