Durham Press will be exhibiting at the Armory Show from March 7th through 10th at Pier 94  in New York. Pier 94 is located at 12th Avenue and 55th Street. The Armory Show is the largest art fair in New York and one of the principal annual art events in the international art market calendar. The 2013 show is the Centennial Edition of the fair. The fair will be celebrating the 100th anniversary of the historic 1913 Armory Show. We will be showing new and recent prints by Hurvin Anderson, Polly Apfelbaum, Roland Fischer, Emil Lukas, Beatriz Milhazes, James Nares and Mickalene Thomas. Please visit us at Booth 518.

Durham Press @ IFPDA Print Fair

Durham Press IFPDA 2011

Durham Press will be exhibiting new and recent prints at the upcoming IFPDA Print Fair in New York, Oct. 31st – Nov. 4th.

Each year, the IFPDA – International Fine Print Dealers Association – hosts an art fair which focuses on fine prints from all periods. We will be exhibiting many works for the first time at the IFPDA, most notably new prints from Mickalene Thomas, James Nares, Polly Apfelbaum and Emil Lukas.

Durham Press @ Dallas Art Fair

Durham Press will be returning to the Dallas Art Fair for our second year. We are looking forward to exhibiting new and recent prints by Hurvin Anderson, Polly Apfelbaum, Roland Fischer, Emil Lukas, Beatriz Milhazes, James Nares and Mickalene Thomas. Updates from Durham Press

We are having a busy winter here in Durham, Pennsylvania. The studio staff are working on printing the new edition by James NaresYou Don’t Say 1,2 and 3 are 3 variations of an elegant brushstroke. The edition will be complete in the next few weeks. The office is buzzing with art fair prepartions. Durham Press will be exhibiting at 3 fairs this spring. We will be in New York at  The Armory Show from March 8th through 11th, The Dallas Art Fair from April 13th to 15th and the Baltimore Museum of Art Print Fair the 27th through 29th of April. Durham Press Artists in Miami

Durham Press had a great week exhibiting at Art Miami– we enjoyed seeing the other fairs and all that Miami had to offer. It was fun to see old friends and meet new ones. Several of the Durham Press artists were in and around Miami. Here are a few highlights:

Art Basel Miami Beach

James Nares unveiled his new film Street at Paul Kasmin. The film was recently completed and features music by Thurston Moore. Mickalene Thomas had paintings and photography at Lehmann Maupin, Rhona Hoffman and Susanne Vielmetter. Sperone Westwater exhibited Emil Lukas‘ string and larva paintings. Hurvin Anderson had two paintings in Thomas Dane’s booth.

Around Miami

Foundation Cartier presented Aquarium by Beatriz Milhazes in a temporary space in Miami. The mobile is comprised of over 14,980 carats of diamonds, rubies, emeralds, sapphires and rare jewels.
