Thomas is known for her grand portraits of African American women, however she has been working on landscapes for several years. In this interview Thomas discusses her experience as a visiting artist at the Anderson Ranch in Colorado and her interest in landscapes and her influences. Thomas was recently featured in the January 2011 issue of Art News.
